Flaming Gorge??

Hello, Has anyone been up to the Lucerne area of FG? Thinking about a late week trip up there. Let me know if it will be worthwhile.

Drove past Lucerne and it is froze solid.

We fished at Anvil Friday and Buckboard Saturday and was catching 16-24" macs.

Wasn't fast or furious but enough action to keep us around all day.

A group of us from work and my son went up to the Gorge Friday. There was too much snow to go where we wanted to go so we went to Buckboard. We did well for the 16-22 inch macs. My son and I spent the night in our ice hut and caught a few burbots. We fell asleep a bit early so we probably missed some burbots but we weren't in an ideal spot for them anyway.

We were going to try Lucerne but we were catching a good number of fish so we stayed at Buckboard.

seams like its been quite some time since the gorge has frozen that far down. or maybe im up in the night lol

The road gets plowed out to Lucerne being the marina operators live there year round. You should be good to go.

Plenty of ice, Plenty of fish, plenty of people![] I was there a 2 weeks ago, Wednesday - Friday and was surprised by how many people were on the ice. 4 fish between 3 guys in 3 days! Good luck if ya go!!
