Lincoln again
#1
Hot today at Lincoln -- both weather and fishin'. Hard to keep two poles in the water most of the time. I rotated three poles today.... prepping one while waiting for action on the others. Best fish was a 27 incher... still not enough to help my score much. Almost every fish caught was between 24 and 26 inches. Still can't find the big one... yet.

Found a pair of needle nose pliers on the launch ramp. If they are yours and you can identify the serial number and if your fingerprints match those on the pliers let me know and I will get them to you.

The best fishing for cats is on at UL.

that sounds like what I had last night, if it wasn't for the color of some of them you would thing they are the same fish.

Nice Cats. Was thinking of making a weekend trip to UL over 17-19th Fathers Day like I did last year. What's the water level like? Can I get in at Lincoln ? Depth reports last few weeks have not been very promising.
Would be just me and my 14ft. Lund. If I have a good 2 feet for sure, I feel safe launching.

I launch my 17 ft Tracker and I haven't had any problems ... yet. The shallowest spot seems to be mid-channel where my sonar shows a depth of 1.5. There are still quite a few boaters launching, especially on weekends. I wouldn't try to launch a cabin cruiser or a nice ski-type boat but if the water holds up for another week you should be able to launch. I trim up and use my outboard, have not had to wimp out with the electric yet like late last year.

If you can swing it be sure to bring lots of bait. Carp seems to work the best right now but wb and minnows will keep you busy too. I used up a bag of carp, some cut up wb, and a dozen chub minnows today and I didn't waste very many. They are on like crazy now and it will probably remain so for the next few weeks. Great time to take kids out too.

I've got a family shin-dig I have to attend on the 18th (the alternative being a divorce) but if you get down this way let me know and I'll be glad to point you in the direction of the big ones.... yeah, right. Well, anyway, in the direction of the 25 inchers.

Hope to see you.

[#0000FF]BORING!

Same ol' same ol'.

But it sure beats heck outta almost anything else you could be doing...at home.

It is nice of you to give those junior sized kitties some exercise and a free lunch.

Sounds like yet another great trip for you! I've been out of town with family for over a week and no fishing trips. Glad to hear you had some fun and thanks for the report.
