Strawberry Question
#1
The wife and I are headed to Strawberry on Wed . We planned on camping along Mud Creek but I guess the National Guard are camped there so my question ??
Where else to camp??
Strawberry campground is booked except for 25 walk in sites which if there is a spot we will take it. We have a 21' 5th wheel and the boat behind. I have camped up Chicken Creek but it is a drive to launch.
You can PM me if you have a secret place.
Thanks

Have you checked the Aspen Grove campground? It's on the Soilder Creek side. There's a boat ramp there too [reply][/reply]

Do you need to be in a spot with hook ups for your rig, or would you go somewhere off the trail but still close enough to a boat launch?

Don't need hookups...
Close to a ramp would be good.

[#800000]I was there last week in the Strawberry Marina Loop B (full hookups) and the A Loop had most of the spots vacant (no hookups). I could see the loop south of B had plenty of open spots as well. I would be shocked if you can't find an open spot in one of the loops there. And you're only 5 minutes to the launch from there.[/#800000]

Thanks Bob...that's what I thought but when I tried to book a site on line last week it said only the walk in sites where available.

I talked with some of the Guard guys today (Monday) in the marina store, they said they would be leaving on Thursday. Not sure if that is all of them or not?
