One last boat trip
#1
Hit the Berry the same time everyone else was black Friday shopping. The fog was so thick I used the big motor to get off the trailer then used the bow mount to fish in the surrounding area. Good choice, I wanted to go somewhere else. 5 over the slot, 6.2 lbs was the kicker. We lost track of how many fish caught. Same typical set up, tubes, grubs, cranks. 44* average temp. All caught casting in 6'-18' The cold was brutal on my hands but I stayed warm besides that. Had a little slow time so I cruised around a bit but ended up back where we started. Pretty good swimbait bite in the afternoon. The Cutts were just under the surface and aggressive.
Daniels Canyon always scares me a day or two after it snows. You could see the road shine in the dark from the ice. Be careful if you are headed up that way. At the berry there was some ice formed in the shallows that you could hear when boat waves would hit it. I'm not ready for ice yet.

Great job, some day I might have to go up with someone that knows how to fish the local waters.

Looks like we should have stayed closer to the marina. We hit renegade Friday and Saturday both days were cold Saturday the waves and wind were a lot worse but fishing was more consistent. We didn't have anything out of the slot both days. Now just impatiently waiting for ice....[fishon]

Some of the best Cutts I have seen this year. Bring on the ice!
