Any update on access to the lake? Coming up to hit it this weekend with dad and wondering if we shouldn't haul the snowmobile up with us to get around.

Access is limited with drifting snow. I saw a bunch of snowmobiles out there today. Fishing was much better than I expected for this late in Dec.

4 of us fished Wild Rose today . My brother was the only one to land any . He caught 3 and lost a couple . He kept a 4 pounders and a 8 3/4 pounders. The wind was horrible, couldn't keep the holes from filling with snow .

That's a gorgeous fish. I'd fish all day and be satisfied if that was the only one I'd ice.

Curt-

I can totally understand why you and others feel this way. I, for one, find myself at a point in life where I have very little time to fish anymore. So since I can't, I vicariously live through you guys, checking BFT daily along with ESPN and my email, to read about all that going on in the world of all-things fishing. Again, I know I'm in the minority, but thanks for posting. Sorry for driving up the view count.

Slow morning to end the season Henrys. I should have known better than to try one more time but Tuesday was so good to me I thought I would give it one more shot. Caught 4 between 5 of us. There were fish on camera all morning. (See pic). Time for Henrys to rest while we go harass other lakes.

That is a beauty! I'm glad the fish are bigger this year. I would say the ice fishing is making this lake great again. If we could just get a longer ice fishing season on Henry's that would be fantastic.

Fishing was slow for us. Fished by the hatchery New Years Eve and landed three. The biggest was 3 lbs. only landed 1 this morning but only fished a couple hours. Had a great time though! Great way to end 2016 and start 2017! Heading to Mackay in a couple weeks. Good luck everybody.
