Hyrum 2-7-2017!!

[fishon]. Ended up on the ice about 9:30 this morning, 20 below zero!!! Fished the same hole all day so I didn't have to leave my ice shelter! 30ish inches of snow on top of 7" of slush with a solid 8-10" of ice, several snowmobiles on it today... Fished 18' of water with a small rapala jigging rap fire tiger color and landed about 50ish perch myself along with 3 bows on a jig tipped with perch. -9 degrees when we left at about 330, had to help one car up the ramp to leave and another stuck in the snow at the top!! Darn cars trying to do truck stuff!! Anyways my first time there in about five years and my second time there ever so not to shabby! Kept about 25 perch 7-10" threw the rest back. Hope it helps

I doubt they will, there's just way too many like fish lake. But ya never know!

Have never made it to Hyrum for ice fishing. Need to try it. Guess it seems odd being right in the middle of town. Thanks to all for the reports!

How was the trek out to where you fished? Was it a difficult pull with all the snow on the ice?

To be honest it wasn't worth it to be but o well..... Way to much work for 4-5" perch all day it was so cold and so much snow plus I have trouble sitting in the same spot all day..
