Anyone have the latest 411 on the conditions as well as hot bait and spots? Any info would be appreciated. This is the first big trip of the year and I want to make it count. Of course all are welcome if anyone want to meet down there. Going after the Splake/Bows/Big Lakies.
On a side note has anyone ever scoped that lake with an underwater camera. I bet if would be cool to catch a glimpse of some of those monster lake trout in there.

I'll check with a friend on Wednesday; they went down to Fish Lake this past weekend. Stayed at Lakeside Resort. I'm planning on taking an AquaView on the 10-13 of this month. I'll check on a report for you; can you post one after you get home from there for me?

We fished it sunday at Twin creeks and it was slow for us - lots of fish on the finder cruising at 30 ft and 10 ft but not many bites. What bites we did get were very lite. Used tubes and maribou jigs - lots of diff. colors and sizes, tipping it with worms, mealies and perch meat -nothing was consistent. I did catch a handfull of small splake on a tiny ice fly tipped with a mealie. A guy set up beside us and proceeded to pull 4 nice splake thru the hole off of a white tube. guess they did not like how ours smelled [mad] Before we left I did get a couple of good bites at 50 ft on the bottom and had one nice fish on for a second on a yellow glow head and yellow kallin grub. My fishun karma suxs right now[laugh]
When I go back it will be to the east side where it has not been fished as much. A 4 wheeler can get there now but it may not if we get much more snow this week.
If they are not biting in hole "A" don't be afraid to move to hole "B" or "C" or "D"[crazy]

Angler Dan,
I've never "scoped" fish lake, I know the lakers like the deep water, 70 or 80 ft. I have dove in fresh water down to a depth of 60 feet. It's pretty dark down that deep. With the ice on, I really don't think you'll see much. But, you never know, one may come stare right in the camera. My guess would be visability under winter conditions would be maybe 2 feet at 70 to 80 feet. Probably less with the snow cap.

that would be cool to see some of the monsters that live in that lake, I've caught 2 to 3 pound fish with teeth marks on them that are huge. I too am heading there this weekend not sure where I will be on the lake but good luck.

Any chance of hitting Fish Lake on the 21st when the group is going to be having the big party? From the sounds of it alot of BFTers will be there and it would be a great chance to meet more of us.
