Fished Browning point today. Edges were soft but the ice was fine. Lots of slush and water on the ice. Staying on the snowmobile trails helped. Fishing was slow early, but turned on about 9 am. It was still going strong when I limited out on crappies at 10:45. The fish were stacked from the bottom up to 8 ft off the bottom at times. Fantastic day bite on the crappies.

Thanks for posting your report, sounds like a great morning at the View. Glad to hear the warmer temps from last week did not ruin the edges there, like other places. Hopefully the colder over night temps this week will firm up the edges and slush. Did you catch any perch?

Only 2 small ones. I was hoping for a couple of those 12 inchers that I caught last time, but they didn't show up.

Thanks for the report! Do you mind if I ask what jigs and bait was working well for you? Thinking of making a run up there Tuesday morning for a few hours......

Small white tube jigs tipped with mealworm or waxworm worked best for me. Caught a couple on hali jigs tipped with a small bit of sucker meat as well. That is usually my perch go to set-up but it will catch all types.
