#1

With a summer’s worth of waypoints generated on my Humminbird ,

it’s time to organize them for ease of use and for future

reference. To do so, I make use of Humminbird PC. Humminbird PC is

a waypoint management program that is available to owners of

Humminbird chartplotters Amazing Secrets with Humminbird PC and

I have shared Way points you can Coordinate them using this
GPS Coordinate Conversion

converter. It can make GPX files into and from KML files.
GPX is a common GPS data format for software applications supported

by major GPS devices made by Garmin, TomTom, Magellan Lowrance,

Delore and others.
KML is a file format used to display geographic data in Google

Earth and Google Maps.

Very interesting stuff. I've used older Google Earth images to lay a track over old stream beds (now underwater) and then uploaded the tracks to my Humminbird. Out on the water, the sonar reading showing the old stream bed matches up almost exactly with the track on the HB. Makes it easy to troll the stream bed.

There is much that can be done with GPS, maps and technology to improve results and find new fishing spaces.
