We went down and tried for Pike last Friday. Nada for us. Carp are in the shallows in droves, caught a few of them to ward off the skunk. Was a nice day. Water is still really low. Nobody we saw or talked to did better than us. Although a couple folks said they caught the new state record Pike down there recently.

Yuba is a hard place to fish, i went 7 times and caught 1 pike and 1 walleye and a lot of carp. Not that impressed with it.

To catch fish at Yuba you got to find structure period but you might get lucky with a straggler. Pike are mostly going to feed on carp so any carp imitation lure might work. They have been catching walleye and pike by the Oasis rock wall last few weeks. I am going there Sunday to see how much water has come up. Once the dam area goes under water it's a great spot fit both walleye and pike from the shoreline.
