artifisal green lights

I have noticed a strange green light coming up from beneath ice houses this year. I thought it was illegal to use light as a way to catch fish. Does any one know about these lights are they leagle to drop down to attract fish or should they be gave tickets .Just wondering any information would be welcomed

You can use artificial lights now.

They even mentioned it in one of the walleye seminars that the DWR put on about how well they have worked out at Starvation.

I think there is a guy locally and on BFT that makes a light setup that looks pretty good. I don't recall who it was...
