Cherry Creek State Park – the metro area’s complete winter playground
DENVER, Co.—Cherry Creek State Park can provide a special experience for winter visitors to the Denver Metro Area including ice fishing, ice-skating and, as snow permits, cross-country skiing. The winter season is also a great time for watching wildlife. Mule deer and white-tailed deer roam the area. Foxes, coyotes, eagles, hawks and owls are often seen looking for prey. Trails for hiking, running and biking are open during the off-season dependant on weather conditions.
The latest addition to the park’s winter opportunities is the Cherry Creek Marina and Yacht Club Event Center. The Cherry Creek Marina and Yacht Club Event Center is a spacious distinctive new venue located inside Cherry Creek State Park, overlooking beautiful Cherry Creek Lake. The 5,000 square foot facility has an open floor plan comfortably seating up to 200 guests indoors with an adjoining 2,500 square foot deck. The deck is available for outdoor events so guests can take advantage of the gorgeous Colorado weather and intoxicating views.
Included in the facilities is a complete commercial kitchen ready to meet the needs of any professional caterer as well as any self catered event.
