All four men were also connected to a drive-by shooting of Port Allen High School, which caused considerable damage to the school. The shooting occurred just prior to the subjects being apprehended by the enforcement agents. Additional charges are pending.

The violations of hunting from a public road and hunting from a moving vehicle each carry a fine of up to $500, jail for not more than 90 days, or both, plus court costs.
