I thought some might be interested in some pics of Strawberry and Soldier Creek I took while flying into SLC International on Easter Sunday (April 16). The ice is beginning to pull away from the shore in many areas including Renegade, The Ladders (of course) and in Soldier Creek south of the marina and near the highway. As I drove past on Highway 40 on my way back to the Uinta Basin several anglers were fishing Chicken Creek East and at the Ladders.

Cool photos! Its amazing how quick ice conditions can change. I fished Soldier Creed yesterday and there is about half as much ice as from your photo on Sunday. I predict that Soldier Creek will be ice free in the next day or two.

I drove by on Saturday and the road to Renegade was covered in snow and the gate was closed. Does anyone know when they will open it?
