Thought I'd hunt for some catfish today. couldn't find any to help better my cat contest scores but did get a few fish to put on the fishing challenge board. Was every Surprised to catch a walleye on a chunk of carp meat

Great day of fishing in anyone's book. Eyeball probably didn't come from Oneida. I have caught them in the river below Cutler Damn.

I went out Sunday to the refuge in my boat and headed up river. Caught a couple but no size, hopefully that river calms down a little soon. I fished that exact spot on my way out but couldn't stand the smell of the carp coming from that wood pile. When I was packing up getting ready to go the fish cops stopped by and checked my license and said if the water doesn't stop coming over the road they are shutting it down again in the next couple of days. Nice fish, at least somebody is catching something out there!
