Huntington North - Still slow
#1
I fished HN again today and the fishing has not picked up much since my last trip.[:/]

I fished from 7:30 until 12:00 and picked up one brown and one wiper. Those were the only hits I had. I was in my tube using a fast sinking line with various leech and crystal bugger patterns on size 6 hooks. The water temperature is 52-53 degrees. The visibility in the water is getting better at about 7'. The reservoir level is 93% and still dropping slowly. Both of the fish were in good shape and decent sized. The water still needs to warm up a few more degrees to get the fish going. There was a midge hatch that started about 8:30 and the birds were feeding on them but I didn't see any fish coming up after them.

It was a nice calm day on the water and I ran into an old friend in his boat so since the fishing was so slow we decided to catch up on all things fishing.[Wink]

Cheers!
