I was there last Thursday and the area was full of fish 15 to 40'. Unfortunately we only caught one of them and it was a slot cut. Did better on the SC side where we had two Kokes on and boated one. The other took his freedom at the side of the boat. Water temp was 46 at 8:00a and 50 by noon. Ideal temp for Kokes is 50 ( I believe) and we expected to do better. I have found that the Koke fishing starts to heat up around the end of May in the past.

I fish the "triangle area" a lot and believe we would have done much better there if we had been there earlier in the morning. The bite seemed to die about 10:00a that day and we didn't get there until 11:00a.

Planning to go back again this week. Will post how we do. Good luck.
