Add a Muskie Tip here post.

If a musky follows your lure but won’t hit, try moving away and coming back at another angle. It also helps if you position the sun at your back, so the fish has to look into it while approaching your boat. That lighting condition makes it harder for the fish to see your movement.

Down size your lure. A lot of times the perception is you need a big bait to entice the big fish. Sure they will hit the big lures, but when the big lures arent working sometimes a smaller lure with a different presentation gets the job done.

follow that follow with and big soft plastic lure like a lindy tiger tube or a big slug-go or a slow moving top- water. but you have to be fast to get it back. but most of the time the fish just want to hit no matter what you put in his face. but somtime if you follow back up with a something slower that looks hurt that does it. but don't spend all day on a fish that keeps following mark the spot and go back in a few hours and try something close to what you had on before. A lot of times they just want something bigger "they don't have to spend as much energy for bigger meal, less times they have to eat". I could go on and on. but I'll save some for my class in april.
