Willard 15th & 16th Trip 2017
#1
Trip 15, 26 June spent about 4 hours on the water, had to share the boat with another skunk.
Trip 16 30 June, wife and I got on the water at almost 7 A.M. Water was a bit choppy at first, but calmed out a bit after sun was up good over the mountain. Ran up to north edge of island, made a left turn and headed west then zig zagged kind of south west, almost exactly 3 hours on the water wife was reeling in to change out her lure and found a junior size Walleye surfing along with it. Got it in the boat with one lucky quick lift and swing before I could get the net under it. Decided to try a few spots that usually yield some cats this time of year. Got one cookie cutter to keep my skunk at bay for another day.

I was fishing from shore this morning, July 1, and saw a wiper boil around in the distance close to the island. It was such an amazing sight to see because I fished Willard a lot. Fishing should be picking up very soon.
