Flaming Gorge

Flaming Gorge was awesome last week. Fished mostly north of the pipeline. Boats were stacked in Rawlins Draw but all we caught there was little tiny ones. I'd stay away from all the boats and find your own spot. We did much better once we got away from the crowds. Fish were shallow in the mornings but went deep as the day went on. My brother caught a nice one at 85 feet one evening when we were trolling for mackinaw. Caught several around 65 feet. I think people are fishing too shallow and catching the small ones.
We mainly used RMT moonshine dodgers and squids. Best colors were pink, purple and chartreuse.
