I am coming from out of town. It has been 5 years since I left Utah. I have 1 day to go fishing with a buddy. Unfortunately, he relies on me to determine where to go fishing as he is a novice. He has a small boat. If you only had 1 day to fish at the beginning of August, where would you go. Numbers are important.
Please also comment.
Thanks for all yuor help.

Electric Lake or Huntington for tiger trout (and also cutts at Electric Lake). Beautiful country, willing fish and great for a small boat.

Agreed, if I didn't have downriggers and were looking for a good place to fish away from the crowds that is where I would go, we were up there 2 weeks ago and did fairly well considering the full moon. Metallic perch Kastmasters were the most productive for tigers and cuts.

If all you care about is numbers, take him to Scofield and catch a bunch of chubs.
