[#0000ff]Met up with fellow tubeaholic Pa at Lindon this morning. After struggling to catch a few baby white bass for bait we headed out. Not as many whities as most years, but we got enough for a trip.
Air temp 70. Water temp 75. But after last night's rowdy thunderstorm over Utah Lake it was a bit muddy and the fish were sleeping in. Took a while to find any that wanted to play but we did get in some good exercise. Best depth seemed to be in the 4-5 foot range.
Nothing around the bubbleup pipe. No takers on plastics, spinners or cranks. It is better when the visibility is decent.
But the everlovin' kitties came to dine on our fishy treats. Caught them on small chubs on a bobber jig rig...below a bobber. Also caught several on small white bass dragged along the bottom. Most were around 20 to 22 inches. Got one 26 and one 27. But didn't get any inquiries from BLK's 36 inchers.
A bit of a southerly zephyr started up just before 11 and we had overfunned. So we were off the water by the time the power squadron started showing up.
Good to fish with you again Lee. Hope all the life's situations mellow out and allow you more quality time on the water.
