Me N Pa at Lindon 8-11-17
#1
[#0000ff]Met up with fellow tubeaholic Pa at Lindon this morning. After struggling to catch a few baby white bass for bait we headed out. Not as many whities as most years, but we got enough for a trip.

Air temp 70. Water temp 75. But after last night's rowdy thunderstorm over Utah Lake it was a bit muddy and the fish were sleeping in. Took a while to find any that wanted to play but we did get in some good exercise. Best depth seemed to be in the 4-5 foot range.

Nothing around the bubbleup pipe. No takers on plastics, spinners or cranks. It is better when the visibility is decent.

But the everlovin' kitties came to dine on our fishy treats. Caught them on small chubs on a bobber jig rig...below a bobber. Also caught several on small white bass dragged along the bottom. Most were around 20 to 22 inches. Got one 26 and one 27. But didn't get any inquiries from BLK's 36 inchers.

A bit of a southerly zephyr started up just before 11 and we had overfunned. So we were off the water by the time the power squadron started showing up.

Good to fish with you again Lee. Hope all the life's situations mellow out and allow you more quality time on the water.

[#0000FF]Thanks.

I get tired while making them...but not of making them.

We gonna get out after 'em this fall?

I would love to. Things are looking more optimistic for me. In the last month I have sold a house in Albuquerque (aka millstone) and the one I live in in UT, then bought another one in UT. I have to move in early September, but after that the fall looks pretty good. I don't even have any hunting permits to get in the way[Wink]

I will get back to you when we get moved. The good news is there is only a mile or so between the two.

Great to see you again as well Pat. Thanks for a fun day and the bitty whites. Was good to be able to fish again. By the way the strap on the other fin was broke when I got home. we called it just right.
Thanks again Pat

[#0000FF]Probably have to go to a dive shop to get a spare set of straps. Might be a good idea to take one of the ones that broke to be sure you get the right length and width. There are differences.

Glad you got through the day. I was wondering after the broken fin strap and then the dead motor battery. Glad you brought a spare. Slowed you down a bit but didn't shut you down. All's well that ends.
