I might head up to DC tonight to try for some trout, where would be the best place to go? I will be fishing from shore using various powerbaits with about a 12" leader off the bottom.

I had good success from the shore on the north side over by the tracks where the cliffs meet the more shallow areas. Did best with powerbait but that was in the spring.i haven't been shore fishing there sense
