#1
Cabo Fishing Pros Weekly Fishing Report

August 21st – August 27th 2017

Weather Conditions:
No tropical storms to worry about last week. Hopefully we can continue to be spared from any major storms this hurricane season. Weather has been typical for this time of year - humid and hot with calm to minor seas, making for some great fishing.

Temperatures this week were a high of 91 and a low of 77.

Average Water Temperatures:
Pacific 83F –86F, Sea of Cortez 84F – 89F

What’s working:
Live bait: squid, cabalito and sardinas.

Cabo Fishing report:
Welcome to this weeks Cabo Fishing Report. Along with the humid and hot weather, and calm seas we have been seeing some very consistent Cabo sport fishing action. Only a few blue and black marlin to speak of this last week, but a fair numbers of striped marlin have made for a lot of happy tourists. Dorado action has been average, with a fair number of tuna mostly football size, but a few large ones (50# - 80#) and one that weighed in at 150# was caught off the Gordo Banks.

Inshore fishing is still fairly active with Roosterfish this late into August.
Hot spots for the week have been Jamie Banks for marlin, and Gordo banks for tuna.
