Algae news...good news
#1
[#0000FF]Although there have recently been other Utah waters with algae advisories, it appears that Utah Lake is on the way to a clean bill of health. According to Utah Dept. of Environmental Quality (see attached) their most recent tests showed only a small reading of algae off Vineyard...and nothing above safe readings at any of the other sites tested around the lake.

In the other attachment there are pics of Deer Creek including a marked photo showing the single small area where the algae readings were high enough for an advisory. It was right off the Island hospitality facilities. Hmmmmm?

That is indeed good news.

This is totally off-subject, but didn't DWR say that the requirement for decon of boats at Deer Creek would end this fall? Is it getting really close?

[#0000FF]Yes...fall of 2017 makes 3 years since the findings of the quagga larvae. But it will likely be early 2018 before they sound the all clear.

Anything to do with gummint...who knows?
