Hard to believe I went fishing the first weekend of bow season but going when the temp is 94 deer hunting just was not on my radar. The bass had started to school here but this heat wave sent them back down. emoBang Not one school did I see. Only had one take a spook and it was small. Gave up on the top water bite and went deep. Had to resort to a method I have used on the Chick when the bite got poor. Take a shakey and use it like a drop shot. I was fishing from 23 to about 28 feet. Did not load the boat but it was consistent. Put eight more in the boat with this method. Just about fishing straight down. Use your electronics to find the fish. Pitch the shakey out and feed line down. Then just shake the worm up maybe six feet and then let it fall again. It is a slow way to fish but when your struggling it is just nice to get one on. emoAngel Best five was only around 11 lbs, these bass look just like Chick bass but only smaller. emoBig Fished from 7 to noon and headed in due to the heat. emoSun Suppose to be cooling off this next week, may be on a stand next weekend. emoThumbsup

Here are a couple of the better ones for you who say it ain't a decent report without a picture. emoToast Jmax
