Pelican 12-23
#1
Ran out to Pelican on Saturday and found 4-5" of ice with one spot that the geese are keeping open on the west side.

Fished from 10-4 in 12 FOW with great weather through most of the day with temps in the mid 30's till the wind hit at 4 and just about blew us off the lake. Caught a half dozen bass in the 12-14" range and 25 bluegill ranging from 4-9".

Starvation was wide open without even a hint of ice in the backs of the bays.

Thanks for the report. The geese seem to always keep that one spot open unless there is a long sustained freeze. Can’t wait to catch some bass...I’ll be out there the first week of January.
