Jackson Lake report
#1
My wife’s family is in Star Valley. We went up for a wedding on Friday. Me and my brother in law hit some early ice on Jackson Lake. Deepest water over safe ice we could find was 15 ft. Fishing was lights out as good as it gets. We landed over sixty before noon. The fish were so aggressive they would slam it before we could see them on the finders. Mostly macs. We both landed a few cuts and one brown each. Biggest was a 5.5 pound laker. We both landed a couple over four. Mostly just the 2.5 pound cookie cutters. Using tubes with cut bait and scents. Tried some spoons and they worked too. Had the lake to ourselves. So beautiful!
