Have dates planned for Fish Lake ice off fishing. Does anyone have any preferences on lodging there? Is Fish L lodge the only one with boat slips? [fishon]

I don't know a lot about Fish lake
was up there this fall the last day the camp ground was open
we killed the rainbows but it was cold
Let me know what day you go up I may try to go
I have a buddy that has a place in Loa. he fishes it a lot

looking at google earth there is 3 but it is not to hard to load your boat each day
about 10 years ago the wife and I stayed in the first lodge on the south end it was the cheapest and not to bad.

google earth search Fish Lake, Sevier County, UT
south west end ramp
38 32'05.28" north
111 44'11.16 west

center west side ramp
38 32'52.43" north
111 43'23.97 West

maybe the same place runs the docks

Thanks Robert, we have a small interested group from out of state that will be heading that way but needing to know what the accommodations are in those lodges. I think it's fantastic you have interest in joining in. I'll get the dates conformed and let you know soon.

South marina is Lakeside Resort, free launching and small general store. Cabin rentals and rv spots.
Middle marina is Fish Lake Lodge, free launching and very small general store with restaurant. Cabin rentals, no rv spots.
North marina is Bowery Haven, free launching with general store and restraurant. Cabin rentals and rv spots.
The ONLY negative thing about hanging out at Fish Lake is no where to beach a nice boat. Shoreline is either too shallow to approach or too rocky and you will suffer damage.
I rent a slip at the Lodge during my stays, stay in Makinaw campground, and ride my bike down to my slip each morning to head out in my boat.
Love it and so will you both!

To protect the bow of the boat on rocky shorelines we take three strips of carpet and lay them on the shore and then pull the bow up on them and it keeps the hull pretty safe as long as the rocks aren't to big.

This helps a great deal. How far in advance should one make reservations to insure a cabin/room rental?

I looked at Deer Creek yesterday and there are a few patches of skim ice floating around on the north end of the lake. It has been down in the low teens for the last few nights so it might get some fishable ice up by the old Charlston ramp but I doubt that the island or Rainbow Bay will freeze this year.
