I see people ice fishing Echo, has anyone tried the ice on Rockport?

Last week there was no ice on Rockport. That may have changed but if so not sure it would be safe yet.

Rockport just capped the other day so it will need some time to grow to a safe thickness.

Last Friday we talked to a guy at Echo who had just gone over to Rockport to check it out. He said the ice was 3 inches thick and very clear. I can't vouch for the accuracy but I have no reason to doubt it.
