Holmes ?

So is Holmes. a community pond. ? Or not I notice a bass limit of 6 and most community ponds are two fish period . also any reports lately ?

Holmes is private property but you just have to get a Walk in Access number from DWR to use it. There is a sign in box on the west side of the lake at the trailhead that goes down to the damn. Fished it last wednesday. Edges were soft or open water for first 3-5 ft but main ice was a good 6" at that time. It has been pretty warm since that. I caught 6 planter trout in about 3 hrs with the usual trout tackle.

Holmes was a community fishery for a few years but is no longer one as of a couple years ago.
