Ice Conditions; Big Sandwash & Pelican ?!

Any fish-able ice on Big Sandwash Reservoir? How is the ice at Pelican Lake, is it still close to 6" thick and slick? I'm hoping to get my teenager out on the hard deck this weekend. Thanks in advance 3_Toes

Big Sand Wash not looking too good according to a friend of mine. Pelican is holding at 6" thick and very slick especially as the day warms up. Fishing hasn't been terribly fast, but if you aren't afraid to drill holes and move around you should find some fish. Get out in about 10' to 12' well off shore. There is a large open hole right in the middle so staying on the east or west sides will be safest.
