Fishlake
#1
Took my family to Fishlake over MLK weekend. I was told that there was no safe ice from many sources, but I decided to bring my gear anyway. Plenty of open water, but the south end by Doctor Creek restrooms had 3+ inches ice. Hardly anybody out there. I could only see about a total of 10 people on the entire lake. We ended up getting about 170 perch (my son wanted to count) tons of good size rainbow and splake and one pup laker that was probably around 5 lbs. My son caught the biggest splake. Great weather everyday. Nights were cold enough to make ice. I think that the entire lake was capped (the open water now has clear ice) but that could have changed by now... USE CAUTION

Let's see what happens with this storm coming this weekend. Hopefully the wind on Friday won't blow all that thin clear ice off the lake.
