Deer Creek 1-18-18
#1
Deer Creek seems to be the only place that doesn't have ice that is close to me, so I figure I should fish from shore before the storm tomorrow. I arrived at gray light and had lines in the water by sunrise. I had a couple bites within 15 minutes but nothing stuck. About a half hour later I get some movement from my bobber, and after what seemed like an eternity, it went down and never came up. I grabbed my rod, set the hook, and wrangled in a feisty 17" rainbow. I had a few more bites with two fish actually committing. Ended the day with 3 rainbows from 14" - 17" and a nice dinner for tonight.

looks like you did pretty good, thanks for the report and pics. What were you using for bait?

I got two on nightcrawlers and one on powerbait. Tossed a couple lures but no love.
