Huntington North - Barely kept the smell off
#1
I fished HN today in my tube from 11:00 until 2:30 and managed to pick up one 12" rainbow.

I was using a medium sinking line (#3) and a size 8 bead head tan/green/pearl soft hackle. I had one other fish on the entire time I was there.

The water temperature was 39 degrees and the visibility was about 10' in the water. The reservoir level is 97% full and stable.

The reservoir is about 80% covered with ice but the north bay is mostly open water, along with a portion near the middle of the reservoir where there were a lot of geese.

About noon some geese started to fly in and there was a steady stream of them until about 12:30.

There were no other anglers, I guess everyone else knew the fishing sucked.[Wink]
