"Cisco Disco Eve" - Come on up tomorrow

Well today the wind made it difficult to see cisco along Cisco Beach at Bear Lake, but there were a few fish around. It should just get better, especially if we have some calm weather. Anglers in the boats can easily catch a limit of 30 cisco in about an hour. They are also picking up some whitefish wilt jigging for cisco. Tube jigs tipped with cisco are working for cutthroat and lake trout. Anglers are also catching some nice cutthroat and lake trout from shore at the State Park marina fishing with whole cisco. Come on up for the Bear Lake Winterfest tomorrow. Its a fun day. First cisco dipping (and some serious eating too) along Cisco Beach from first light until about 9:30. Then head over the State Park marina for the biggest cisco contest (1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes awarded to adults in one category and kids in another category). There is a chili cookoff which also awards some nice prizes and the crowd can taste all of the chili too. Don't forget your bathing suit or camera for the polar plunge. Those who jump get a really nice hoodie sweatshirt and 100% of the money goes to Common Ground. THis group helps people with disabilities enjoy the outdoors.
