What Was in This Trout's Stomach?
#1
I caught a couple of 12 inch trout yesterday and got curious about what they were eating. One fish had lots of hard objects inside. I cut it open and found lots of hollow, rock-like tubes, varying from 1/12 to 1 inch in length.

What are they?

i have tied some up on about a 16 hook, use pheasant tail up the body, peacock hearl, black hackle trim so the leggs out the bottom, works good on the river below current creek.

Last time (4yo plus) we caught Trout on hard deck and kept we found cigarette butts and cigarettes plastic filters in stomach and intestinal track. These were planters from Echo. Nasty to say the least

Easy remedy:
A. Tie on a hook.
B. Turn over a few rocks in the stream.
C. Gather some larva.
D. Thread larva on to hook.
E. Catch fish.
