Looking to get out and do some early fishing. I'm having a hard time with my fly pole after a recent surgery. Looking to try and throw some spinners. What are the best lures to try.
Thanks for any info

[#0000FF]The water is still very cold. Whities won't chase spinners as well as when it gets warmer. Try some small jigs with a piece of worm. Or, in fly fishing language "garden hackle". Also, don't expect hard strikes. Stay alert and watch your rod tip and your line for any slight twitches.

Look for deeper quiet spots out of the flow. The fish don't like to work too hard in the current when they are cold. And fish close to the bottom. Oh yeah, don't be surprised if you find yourself in hand to fin combat with a hefty brown. They can be found way downstream and even out into Utah Lake this early.

As far as colors, you can't go wrong with either white or chartreuse. A red head or red eye can help too.

Good luck and wish you a speedy recovery. Fishing is good therapy for almost anything that ails ya.
