Kokanee at Fish Lake
#1
Hello,

Just wondering if any of you have had success locating and catching kokanee at Fish Lake during ice fishing season. I know they are in there and hope to locate and pull some up.

Thanks

Morning icefisher88

I caught 1 mid Febraury that was in spawn mode, bright red male in 16 ft on the weed line.
It was the only one in 4 days. Ran an aqua vu the whole time and never seen hide nor hair of any others.
I believe they are climbing in numbers but to target them would be tricky

good luck

Thanks for your post.
That is interesting as kokes spawn Sept. 10 - Nov. 30. Must be a hold over that has not died yet.

Thanks - good luck! Hope you find em.

Let me know how it goes, how thick the ice is and if you saw any snowmobiles on the south side of the lake.

I was there last weekend and there was 14 inches of ice with 8 inches of snow on top. It was slushy on the south side so we fished the north side.
