We blasted off with the first flight of boats and the race was on. We had a spot in mind and apparently so did 4 other boats because we all wound up in the same place. We fished where we could for about 45 minutes and didn't get a bite so we moved to the opening of Baylor slough. Caught a short largemouth missing some of his tail on a tube and wound up with 2 big drum with one being close to 19lbs. Fun fight but obviously not what we were looking for. Made another move to suck creek and caught a couple short fish in that area. Moved to lookout creek fishing off of memories and by this point we were hanging our heads and knew short of a miracle we were going to have a repeat of cff#2. Made one more final and boated another couple short fish. Tough day for us. Parking and unloading went smoothly for us given the amount of boats. The last two tournaments have been tough to hear at blast off is the only complaint I have personally. Great job to the winners and everyone who weighed in today.
