A good Good Friday at Jordy
#1
Got the Crestliner wet for the 1st time this season up at Jordanelle this aft. Fished a little, but mostly wanted to make sure everything worked. All system GO, and that new Helix 7 with its AutoChart feature is one fascinating piece of tech. No plans to map entire lakes, but my special spots will get a more definitive look. Anxious to see how my readings compare to maps. Lake level down nearly 20'. Tons more boats up there than I had anticipated. Trolling trouters and jerkbait-throwin' bassers. Water 40-41 on north end.

Mike, I was there today looking for kokes.
1st pole in the water less than 4 minutes and fish on!
Not what I went for, but a decent brown grabbed my squid. I released it and kept going.
Never got another hit the rest of the day.....
You gonna join me at Powell next week?

looking at this
http://data.cuwcd.com/data/reservoirs/index.htm
today Jordanelle would be down 19 feet
so I would guess that while mapping with auto chart live
you had the water level offset to - 19 or - 20 feet

is that the way you do it?
maybe this fall I may go and try for kokanee
