I have Friday off and am debating where we should go, really want to catch some wipers but recent reports are not very appealing.

You are right, wiper fishing has been poor this year, at least at Willard. I think that will be changing soon as the water temps are fast approaching 60 degrees out there. Catfishing remains pretty good, if you don't mind catching them. Of course there are other places to catch wipers but as you said reports have not been good.
