My daughter OU812 and I headed out to the island this morning, suprised there was only one trailer there, had a hard rime getting her out of bed, told her she could sleep on the boat which is not unusual, boats started coming out fairly steady the rest of the morning, catching was fairly steady, so no naps, managed a dozen or so cats, a few for the contest, most where up close to the island.
white bass where fairly active, kept us busy waiting for cats.
water temp 60 and warmed up to 64 deg.
water was the clearest I've seen all spring.

You did better than we did out there yesterday. If we would have caught one more we would have caught one. [Sad]

thats no good, the only place we didnt find anything is at the sp fork inlet, there is not enough water coming in and the fish have left, there was alot of cats on the east side of the island where the reef starts to the south east.

Daughter had her 2 pole out for cats, I had one, I cant handle just sitting and waiting was throwing a rattle trap hoping for a eye but only WB. I put big chunks of WB meat on they would just have to nibble it,
