Sorry to post so late but got tied up after we got home. Anyway the grandson and I went to rockport from 2:00 until 4:30. Fished off the dam about 50 yards out. We were in abott 65 feet as near as I could tell. Caught 11 trout all between 10 and 14 feet down using small glow flies and foxies tiped with waxies or worm. Not real fast but steady. Seemed to come through in schools. There is about 4 or 5 inches of snow and more ice than is fun to drill through. Again sorry this got posted so late good luck if you go tomorrow.

Thanks for the report F4GK, I guess you did not catch any perch, is that right? How was the walk down to the ice by the dam? WH2

No perch but we did not try. The walk down is not bad its the walk that gets to me. ha ha . no really the walk is not bad at all my 10 year old grandson pulled my sled back up to the truck and only stopped once. We did not try for perch because I thought it was to deep from the reports I have been reading we could have moved in closer to shore but the grandson was having to much fun with the trout. He out fished me again either he's a very good learner or I'm a good teacher and I know he's smarter than me so I think its the first. It has slowed in that area since last week because a week ago in the same area you would not be in for more than a couple of minutes before a bite. good luck if you go.

Sounds like you had a good day. My son and grandson usually always out fish me, they don't let me forget it either. But that is some of the fun of it.
