Moab fishing suggestions

Going to Moab in mid June. Kids want to fish the Colorado River for catfish or bass. Are there spots near Moab you can actually catch fish? Thanks for any suggestions.

There's great fishing around Moab. If you want warm-water fishing close by go to Kens Lake. I believe the state record catch and release channel cat was caught there.

High mountain lakes can be found in the La Sal mountains east of town. Warner and Oowah are on the west side, while Dons and Hidden are on the north end. Smack in the middle is Blue Lake. They are all good for small-to-medium size trout. One of my funnest fishing days was spent catching tiger after tiger on grasshoppers at Dons.
