Cleveland Reservoir - Quantity not quality
#1
I decided today's weather looked better than the other days this week so I tried Cleveland for the first time this year.

Got there about 8:30, launched the tube and fished until about 2:30. I used a medium sinking line in 10' - 20' of water with some size 6-8 bead head leeches and buggers.

I was hoping that I had got there before the hatchery truck but I didn't make it. When we were fishing Thursday on Mammoth we saw a stocking truck go by but we didn't know where it was going. I now have a pretty good idea. I picked up a few 11" - 15" fish, all rainbows. I did mark some carry-over fish but never hooked any.

The water temperature was 50-52 degrees and the visibility in the water of about 4'. The reservoir level is at 82% and rising.

The action was pretty steady with most of the fish coming within casting distance from shore.

Thanks for the report! I never mind catching a few stocked fish on a flyrod.
