Had to make a quick trip to Florida this week, hit Ft. Desoto tonight for a few hours, 3rd cast I hooked the biggest snook of my life and likely the biggest fish on a fly rod (easily) had to have been 15 lbs. fought it for about 10 minutes and then the hook just pulled, totally sucked!!! Kept fishing and ended up with a ladyfish and a decent trout. Back hone tomorrow.

Nice work! I work in Florida and Georgia and need to advantage of this more. Doing a trip to New Orleans in a few weeks and can't wait to get into some monster reds and drums.

You cannot move. Who will inform us - "the spawn is on"?
I wish you the very best if you are able to move.

The discouragement I feel at losing a big fish is one of the ways that I remember I'm still alive.
Amazing pictures. It looks like a great sport. Take care and thanks for keeping us in the loop!
