Fished Strawberry out of the marina today. Nice in the morning. Kokanee bite was a little spotty. Was slow to start but then had 30-60 minutes where it went quite hot. We boated several and long-distance-released several. Success on the standard pink pattern as well as green, and between 15-30 feet. As fast as it turned on, it turned back off and went cold for Kokanee. Still caught a bunch of cutthroats throughout the day.
We toughed it out until around 2 p.m. by hiding out along the western edges of the reservoir, but crossing the bay with the wind and enormous waves was quite a feat.
My Fish Hawk confirmed the temps posted earlier by liketrolling. There is not much separation in the water column yet, so during our period of success we were catching across a pretty broad band.
