Took my 4 year old fishing to the left of the upper boat ramp at Chick dam. He caught his first ever fish on a good ol’ red (live) worm. He got a little bored after four fish, so I put the last one in a bucket with water and he “petted†the little fish while I threw a tiny spinner and filled the bucket up with more. Even though he asked if he could “please, please, please take them home to keep,†I convinced him to leave them so he could come back later and play with them. <br /><br />There were some sizable gar tailing around at the edge of the eddy and the current but I couldn’t convince the other bank fishermen that they weren’t bass. I was really hoping one of them would hook one. <br /><br />
