I found out it can’t be a good sign when driving down the ramp to Lincoln Beach and there is a dead skunk in the middle of the road. I still held out hopes until we hit the lake and the waves were beginning. I had all 4 of my boys and Jim with me me on his pontoon boat. We changed directions from bird island to mudd flats hoping we could get out of the waves. We managed 2 white bass for bait and that is it. We gave up after an hour and headed back. We didn’t want to get trapped by worse weather. Next time I have to drive over a skunk to get into a lake I’m just going to turn around and go home. So beware whoever goes to Lincoln Beach tomorrow lol

[laugh] That's funny...........we drove over that dead skunk on our way out yesterday.
I told my son it was his cause he hadn't caught anything [cool]
We were out at Bird Island when we noticed the wind shifting directions coming out of the north. Not real hard wind, and had been calm most the day with just enough breeze to keep the bugs away. But when it shifted, it got stronger, and for some reason the bugs got so intense, we put on our head nets to keep them out of our eyes and mouth.

Sorry to hear that. What time did you start?

If I see that skunk on my way out next time, I'll try to move it off the road. Well, it may be a bit before I get back out.

It has been removed from the road but the fragrance remains.

Went out with my crew and Tube Dude was out in his tube. He did very well... crew and I, not so much. Fun hot day. Watch for TD's usual write up of the event.

[#0000FF]I was the first one going into the Lincoln Beach area this morning. The smelly kitty was laying right in the middle of the road. I remember thinking "Hope that's the only skunk for the day" Fortunately, it turned out to be a decent day and the skunk was gone when I left.
